Top 5 Brown Eyeliner/Kajal in India : Review, Price & Swatches

Hey everyone,

Hope you all are enjoying beautiful monsoon weekend! So, today I will be talking about my top favourite brown eyeliners/kajals. Actually I prefer colored liners when in mood to play with colors & brown is my top pick because it looks really subtle yet classy, could be smoked out to give you soft smokey look especially in summers, I conventionally stop using black eyeliners/kajals in order to avoid panda eyes in this hot & humid weather but bronzy brown is the exquisite shade for fair to medium complexions ladies. To find out more nitty-gritty which are my top picks, read on..

Rimmel London Scandaleyes - 003 Bad Girl Bronze (Rs 415)

This is such a beautiful bronze shade which is my cult favourite as an eye shadow base. Its a thick pencil with transparent cap and colored end. Its a little bit on drier side which makes it really tough to smudge once set but shade is so pretty that I have been using this since last 8-10 months. The only drawback is the product wastage while sharpening and mine pencil is on other level means the colored stick has come out from the pencil, now I'm wondering how will I use it, other than that it is affordable shade, easily available on flipkart & nykaa. See swatch below :

Bourjois Paris Contour Clubbing Waterproof - 49 Crazy About Brown (Rs 445)

This is a little bit similar to rimmel's one in context of texture. Its a sleek long colored body pencil which could be easily come across in your makeup stash. It is so comely shade which contain a bit a gold tint to it (see swatch below), have been using this on my waterline. The only drawback with these wooden kajals is the product wastage while sharpening. I think the price is quite affordable and it is the best option for fair skinned ladies to highlight the waterline.

Lakme Eyeconic - Brown (Rs 199)

Lakme eyeconic range has been the most raved kajal in the Indian market but my all time favourite is the shade brown. I'm on my third kajal , damn so addicted to this. It comes in black colored sleek retractable pencil form which is the best way to avoid product wastage. Talking about texture, its soft but sets quickly so one has to smudge it really fast in order to have smokey eye. If you have dry lids, I would suggest you to prime up your lids then it will spread easily without tugging. It stays fairly whole day long without smudging or transferring to socket line. If you're on budget this is the best option. Easily available & quite affordable.

Colorbar Just Smokey - Just Brown (Rs 650)

Colorbar just smokey in shade just brown is such an alluring shade, perfect blend of copper, bronze & gold. It glides on so effortlessly & doesn't budge or smudge for the entire day. It comes in color coded wooden pencil with smudger at the other end. The only drawback is to sharpen the pencil which leads to product wastage, other than that this is my cult favourite. See swatch below:

Lakme Absolute Forever Silk - Earth Line (Rs 425)

As the name suggests forever silk, it is as emollient as silk, glides on like dream, super soft & highly pigmented among these. Lakme kajals comes in retractable pencils form which makes them outstanding & worth trying just because there is no product loss. Due to its silky texture, it can be smudge really effortlessly & stays on for quite long. Price-wise its quite reasonable. Here are the swatches below :

Final Verdict : I love using brown eyeliners in summers because they are not harsh like regular black liners/kajals. My personal favourite is Lakme eyeconic & Colorbar just smokey! Which one are your favourites? Please share your comments below!

Packaging :

La Roche-Posay effaclar foaming gel comes in a sturdy white plastic body & turquoise flip top tube packaging. It'll not be easy to see the amount of product remaining because it is an opaque tube. Its a travel friendly packaging.

My take on the product :

I came across this brand when my skin was in terrible form. My skin is highly sensitive, it broke out so easily. I opt to give this brand a try & I'm happy with the result. It's a french brand & France has been famous for spring water which heals sunburns, acne and redness.

Coming to the review - Its a transparent gel face wash, paraben free, has amiably fragrance, truly light & non-sticky. A pea size drop is enough to clean entire face. It lathers mildly well, cleanses any makeup residue, dirt & impurities without stripping of the skin, keeps the sebum oil in check. On the other hand this was boon to my skin while travelling as my acne was under control, acne scars faded away a bit, whitehead & blackheads were less active. My pores were thanking me to use such stuff. Overall skin looked healthy & refreshed!

Its a 50ml tube, using twice daily can last you more than a month easily.

Recommendations : I highly recommend this La Roche Posay foaming gel to all the girls/ladies out there who have sensitive skin. It's a blessing in disguise! :)

My take on the product :

Its a french brand and France has been famous for there spring water which heals sunburns, acne & acne redness. It is a light weight emollient cream which easily absorbs into the skin without making it greasy & shiny for hours. It really helped me in combating acne when I was on trip. You can see visible difference in your skin within a week, active acne tends to dry, redness around my inner cheeks has calm down, acne scars start fading a bit, kept control on whiteheads & blackheads too. I'm glad I gave this a try, it seriously soothes my skin and has been my HG cream this summer. Only a tiny amount of cream is required to cover the entire face and neck, 40ml tube can last you easily more than one & half month or depends upon how frequently you apply the cream or how inexorable is your acne. See swatch below :

Recommendations : Albeit the price tag is bit high and can be con for some of you but according to me you should splurge in products which gives you utmost result and I would highly recommend this range to all the girls especially teenagers who are suffering from acne due to hormonal changes.
